Referral Program

Equa’s referral program rewards you with EquaCash when you invite friends and colleagues to the platform. Share your unique referral link, earn scratch card rewards, and apply your EquaCash balance toward subscription payments.

  • Active Equa account with verified email

Understanding the Referral Program

When you join Equa, you automatically receive:
  • A unique referral link — A 6-character code you can share with anyone
  • A signup reward — A scratch card with a hidden EquaCash value
When someone registers using your referral link, both of you receive scratch card rewards.

Step 1: Navigate to Referrals

Click Referrals in the sidebar or navigate to your profile and look for the referral section. Your unique referral link is displayed on the page. Click Copy to copy it to your clipboard. Share your referral link through email, social media, messaging, or any other channel. When someone clicks your link and registers, you both earn rewards.

Common Tasks

Sending Email Invitations

  1. Navigate to Referrals
  2. Click Invite by Email
  3. Enter one or more email addresses
  4. Click Send
Each recipient receives a personalized invitation with your referral link.

Scratching Reward Cards

When you earn a reward, it appears as an unscratched card.
  1. Navigate to Referrals > Rewards
  2. Find your unscratched cards
  3. Click Scratch to reveal the EquaCash amount
Scratch cards have the following reward distribution:

Once scratched, the EquaCash is added to your balance.

Viewing Your EquaCash Balance

Your current EquaCash balance is displayed on the Referrals page. This balance represents the total from all scratched reward cards minus any amounts applied to subscriptions.

Applying EquaCash to Subscriptions

  1. Navigate to Settings > Billing
  2. When purchasing or renewing a subscription, enter the EquaCash amount you want to apply
  3. The amount is deducted from your balance and applied as a credit toward the subscription cost

Transferring EquaCash

You can transfer EquaCash between users or to an organization:
  1. Navigate to Referrals
  2. Click Transfer EquaCash
  3. Enter the recipient (user or organization)
  4. Enter the amount to transfer
  5. Confirm the transfer

Tracking Your Referrals

The Referrals page shows:
  • Total people you have referred
  • Invitation statuses (sent, registered, joined)
  • Reward history and scratch card status
  • Current EquaCash balance

Tips

Scratch your reward cards as soon as you receive them. The EquaCash is not added to your balance until you reveal the card.
When you subscribe to a paid plan, you may also receive additional scratch card rewards. Check your Referrals page after subscribing.
EquaCash can save you real money on your subscription. If you actively refer users, you can accumulate significant credits toward your billing.

Troubleshooting

Cause: The person may not have used your referral link when registering, or may have registered with a different email than expected.Solution: Make sure people click your unique referral link before registering. The link must be used during the registration process for the referral to be credited.
Cause: There may be a delay in reward generation, or the referral may not have been completed.Solution: Rewards are generated after the referred user completes registration. Check back on your Referrals page after the person has signed up.
Cause: The EquaCash may not have been entered during checkout, or the balance may have been insufficient.Solution: Make sure to enter the EquaCash amount during the checkout process. Check your current balance on the Referrals page.
Cause: There may be a rate limit on invitation emails, or the email address may be on a blacklist.Solution: Wait a few minutes and try again. If a specific email address is consistently rejected, the domain may be restricted.
